This blog is an outgrowth of the one I’ve been writing on for the past two years, and it seemed like the right time to dedicate a site entirely to this topic I’m passionate about: being your child’s first teacher–whether your kids are enrolled in traditional school or being homeschooled.
You may be surprised to know that we don’t homeschool per se. I worked for a handful of years in a public school, my husband is an administrator in one, and our kids are learning in a fantastic one! Still, their classroom experiences don’t replace their home experience.
I believe that God calls each of us to be purposeful in our parenting–and I believe that we all have joy and shortcomings along the way. This blog is a place to explore those, to share great ideas, and to remind ourselves that there is always work to be done as we raise our little humans.
